Strategy: Design a facility to house a national hotel developer’s local office. Our directive was to reflect the nature of their business in the space.

Results: The typical perimeter office plan was treated to an interior core playground that houses an open lunchroom, library and workroom. Lighted showcases line the paths to the area and hold renderings of their properties. A ten -foot wide barn door affords the playground visual privacy during meetings in the conference room which is also accessible by the interior corridor.

Finish specifications emphasized base building materials, with reclaimed walnut flooring used on a vertical plane, stainless steel mesh dividers and a painted white brick wall separating the lunchroom from the office area. Rich Absolute Black granite floors, polished and honed, meet linoleum in seamless transitions. Throughout, lighting and furniture presents a polished finish to a clean, ordered space.
